Developing a corporate visual identity is a natural part of the development of the brand, and it is a profitable investment. It is always connected to change in the company or its operation environment. The design of the corporate visual identity is the most demanding kind of graphic design. The task has often several layers, there are many preconditions, the teams are large, and schedules are challenging. I have designed over a hundred corporate visual identities for exchange-listed companies, state institutions, organizations and cultural societies. A good corporate visual identity is comprehensive and it stands out and keeps continuously developing. I was interested in corporate visual identities already during my studies and I made two dissertations on the topic. I learned about designing a corporate visual identity in practice at Marimekko.
